A Behind-the-Scenes Look at My Photography Process

Updated: Aug 18

Step 1 : Booking Process

Clients typically find me on Google or Instagram, where they send me a direct message, contact me via WhatsApp, or book directly through my website.

Once they reach out, they let me know what kind of shoot they need—whether it’s a solo session, a couple’s shoot, or something more specific like real estate or event photography.

We then discuss further details, like the style and vision for their shoot, with clients often providing examples of photos they like. They also suggest a location, or I offer suggestions, ranging from beaches to jungles or other scenic spots.

Together, we choose a date that fits both our schedules. To finalize the booking, I require a 30% downpayment, which can be made via Wise or Revolut, depending on the type of shoot.

Step 2 : Pre-Shoot Preparation

For clients unsure about location, I often recommend shooting during sunset—the golden hour—on a pristine beach that’s accessible via a scenic walk. It’s a hidden gem where we typically have the entire place to ourselves. As for styling and wardrobe, clients usually choose their outfits themselves, and I adapt the shoot to complement their style and vision.

Step 3 : The Day of the Shoot

During the shoot, my priority is always to make my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. I take time to talk with them, ensuring they feel at ease and understood. As an honest person, I’m straightforward about what I think will work best for them.

I guide them through the entire process, offering reassurance and boosting their confidence, which can sometimes help them overcome past insecurities or trauma. In this way, my sessions can serve as both a photo shoot and a healing experience.

Step 4 : Post-Shoot Payment

Immediately after the shoot, clients are required to pay the remaining 70%, either in cash or through whichever payment method they are most comfortable with. If there are any issues with their card or bank and they need to delay payment, they should inform me before the shoot. However, I have a strict policy: no photos or videos are delivered until the full payment has been made.

step 5 : Editing Process

After the shoot, I return home and upload the pictures from my SD card to my iPad Pro, where I handle the bulk of the editing. The photos are also synced with my computers, enabling me to use specialized tools like Photoshop, the Topaz suite, or Luminar if needed. Most of the editing is done on Lightroom for iPad.

The editing process starts with sorting through the photos, where I delete the bad ones and keep the best. I then resize, crop, and adjust the images to ensure they look their best. Each photo typically takes no more than 5 minutes to edit. I focus almost entirely on natural edits, maintaining pleasant and harmonious colors, and avoid using creative or unusual effects, including AI-generated elements.

Once all the photos are edited, I upload them to WeTransfer and send clients a download link. They have 7 days to download their images.

Final step : Delivering the Final Product

I deliver the final images to clients through WeTransfer. While I offer various packages and additional services, such as prints or photo books, these are typically requested by clients. The standard delivery time for the edited photos is 7 days.

Although there is no specific guarantee, clients can trust that their images will be delivered promptly and with care.
